Travel with VOXOFON: Avoid Roaming Fees!

If you are traveling with your U.S. SIM card, your mobile provider will add a roaming fee to all of your incoming and outgoing calls. With VOXOFON, however, you have three ways to avoid roaming fees:

1. If you will be traveling for a long period, you can purchase a local SIM card. You can then install the VOXOFON Call Abroad application on your phone, if available, or access our wap version: wap.voxofon.com. If you are using an iPhone, simply go to our website and use the familiar iPhone user interface.

2. Use the "Callback Other" function if you have access to any local phone where you can receive a callback. It can be a hotel phone, a pay phone or your friend's phone. Our application uses mobile internet to send a callback request to our server. The amount of data transferred is very small (a few kilobytes), but you should check the prices for data roaming so that there will be no surprises. To use the VOXOFON Call Abroad for initiation of callbacks, you will need to allow your phone to connect to the internet. Make sure that at that time all other applications that connect to the internet and download – for example, your emails – are turned off.

3. If you take your laptop with you, make sure that you don't forget to bring along your headset with a microphone. Almost all hotels provide access to the internet from your room. Open Voxofon.com and enjoy our lowest prices on PC to phone calls.

For any other questions about roaming, please contact VOXOFON support.

Why Nice Guys Finish First!

You’ve probably heard the saying “Nice Guys Finish Last.” It’s a phrase that has been applied to everything from baseball to dating. Well, when it comes to customer service, the opposite applies, especially in these uncertain economic times.

That’s why we are taking this opportunity to share a few of the top customer service guidelines we follow at http://www.voxofon.com/. These tips can apply to anyone—whether you own your own business, are a salesperson, work in retail or are actually involved directly in your company’s customer service department:

1) BE RESPONSIVE. The most important way to let customers know you care is to respond to their e-mails and calls as quickly as possible. They must always know that there is someone waiting behind the e-mail address or on the other line of the phone who is ready to answer their questions and address their concerns.

2) CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH A SMILE. The customer is always right. Yes, these are clichés but crucial advice. Arguing with a customer or responding with a negative attitude won’t get you anything except a bad reputation. Remember, people talk, and if they have a bad experience with your company, they will very likely to spread the word to friends, neighbors, co-workers, family…the list goes on and on. It’s not worth it!

3) ALWAYS LISTEN CAREFULLY TO THE CUSTOMER’S CONCERNS OR COMPLAINTS AND FIND A SOLUTION. No matter how complicated it may be. You may have to get creative. If you don’t have an immediate answer, that’s OK, but let the customer know that you will get back with them soon and then remember to respond promptly with your solution.

4) LET YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS TRY IT BEFORE THEY BUY IT! A sneak preview shows potential customers just how confident you are that they will love your product enough to purchase it. Plus, there’s a good chance they will like it so much, they will want more and will buy it as soon as the test drive ends. It’s worth the investment!

5) ALWAYS ASK FOR FEEDBACK. You can learn so much just by asking customers what you can do to improve. Always ask for suggestions and ideas.

And we welcome your feedback right here on VOXOBLOG. What are your customer service tips? Do you think customer service is the top priority for businesses right now? Let us know about your VOXOFON customer service experiences. We would love to hear from you! Please post your feedback on our new blog or by clicking on the Support link at http://www.voxofon.com/.
